Samsung GALAXY S II Confirmed at U.S. Cellular for $230

Galaxy S II finally reached the airwaves that U.S. Cellular. In fact, the smartphone has not hit the shelves, but the carrier officially announced that they will add the device to its portfolio.

Samsung Galaxy S II will be available at some point for as low as $ 229.99 (175 USD) after $ 100 (75 USD) mail-in rebate. Clearly, the agreement requires that consumers sign up for data plans and are committed to a new two-year deal. Activation fees may apply to new customers.

This smartphone will be submitted to the Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, but the Samsung Galaxy S II has been confirmed to upgrade Ice Cream Sandwich in early March.


However, there's no telling exactly when to deploy U.S. Cellular will update the long-awaited for its own variant of the Galaxy S II.

Galaxy S II is equipped with dual-core processor 1.2 GHz Exyno manufactured by Samsung, which comes with the unit-400MP Mali graphics processing. Most fans prefer Android Samsung Exynos more CPU Texas Instruments embedded in another model Galaxy S II.

It has a stunning 4.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display plus, which, unfortunately, only supports a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. There is also enhanced 8-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

On the inside, U.S. Cellular in the Galaxy S II packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB RAM and a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
