iPad 3 Launch Date Confirmed - March 7

The report quoted a reliable source stating that Apple, AOS iPad 3 event will be held Wednesday, March 7, and that AT & T and Verizon Wireless will bring a new tablet on their LTE network, hoping to spur adoption of the standard.

More importantly, the blog (which was accurate at the Apple rumors in the past) quoted sources as saying that 3 iPad feature LTE chipset from Qualcomm. The new radios will allow it to roam on AT & T, and Verizon AOS, AOS 4G airwaves.

A Wall Street Journal piece quoted by Apple throughout the blogosphere seems to confirm the claim.

The paper, which is arguably the source of the most reliable when it comes to dishing out Apple rumors, actually stated that Verizon Communications Inc. and AT & T Inc. will sell the iPad next.

Tablets were taken by the duo will have LTE capabilities, the WSJ said, with a second operator that aims to cash in on big investments in mobile broadband.

Jim Dalrymple of LoopInsight, which is known to have sources deep inside Apple, confirmed the date of the announcement with a brief "Yes," indicate MacRumors out.

Finally, ChinaTimes replied with an interesting story itself claims that Apple has ordered no less than 65 million 264PPI Retina display from LG Display and Samsung. Panel is to iPad 3, according to Chinese newspaper.

Apple is known to have ordered some 40 million displays for current-generation iPad. Bot LG and Samsung has kicked off production of the panel. Sharp also rumored to be producing some of the displays IGZO for Apple, though the paper does China, Japan AOT another vendor.
